Buddha’s Birthday Celebration

Sunday 11am, May/20/2018

Come join us to celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha on May 20.

lotus150It will be celebrated in the traditional Mahayana Buddhist way with a lotus lantern. Lotus is a symbol of enlightenment for Buddhists. Though the lotus lives in muddy water, its beauty is not tainted by the mud. Similarly though we live in Samsara (the cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth), we too should strive not to be tainted by its influence. The lotus lanterns are made to symbolize the light of wisdom which shines to illuminate the Buddha Nature that is within all of us.

A Delicious Korean vegetarian lunch will be served after the Service

We look forward to seeing you on this beautiful day!
