We would like to invite you to take part in our Wednesday Evening Peer-Led Dharma Circle.

As many of you know, we have been conducting a dharma study circle online once a week, on Wednesday evenings after the service. The service meets online from 6:30 to 7:30pm, and then anyone who is interested in staying on for the dharma circle continues from 7:30 to 8:30pm.

We began the dharma circle in January 2020, and we have covered a number of core topics: The Four Noble Truths, The Eightfold Path, The Brahmaviharas, The Essential Dharma of Daily Practice, The Three Marks of Conditioned Existence, The Five Skandhas, and The Heart Sutra. If you missed these, no problem! This next topic will pull them all together in a meaningful and practical way. We’ll be working with the book Thunderous Silence, by Reverend Yoo of Won Dharma Center, available online in paperback or eBook format. The book focuses on the Heart Sutra, which is central to our practice, and which contains a wealth of important concepts and core teachings. The book ties together all of the major topics we’ve covered since January: The Four Noble Truths, The Eightfold Path, Conditioned Existence, Dependent Origination, and so on.

We’ll be conducting this as a combination of a book group and a workshop. Each week, we’ll cover one chapter – they’re short and manageable, so you’ll have plenty of time to read in advance – and we’ll share and discuss examples from our own lives in order to workshop them to see how we can all benefit from applying Buddhist principles.
Please contact us at to let us know that you’re interested, and we’ll make sure that you’re on the email list so that we can send you all the information you need.
