7-Day Morning Dedication to Honor our Departed Loved Ones
In Won Buddhism, December 1st marks the Spiritual Thanksgiving, or MyongJelDaeJae in Korean. It is a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to all spiritual teachers and ancestors who passed away. Their physical presence has disappeared, but their love and guidance continue to grow in our hearts and enrich our lives.
In remembrance of our deceased spiritual teachers and loved ones, we will be offering special prayers from November 28 to December 4, daily from 6:30 to 7:30 am (ET).
You can incorporate this into your morning practice!
Daily Practice includes:
– Gong 10 times
– Sitting Meditation (40 minutes)
– Prayer Reading
– Sacred Chant (SungJoo) & Namu Ahmi Tabul
– Ilwonsang Vow & Heart Sutra
– Morning Prayer Song
Register HERE if you wish to join us on Zoom, and please include the names of those you would like to honor in this prayer. When you submit names, please consider making a donation in honor of those you are remembering.
