Darin A.

Name: Darin A.
Dharma Name: Won Do Sung (원도성, 2012)

Practice Background: I grew up going to a Buddhist temple in Hawaii, as my mom would take me with her. As I grew older, the temple became a form of community. I also found tranquility whenever I would sit in the temple. The scent of burnt incense was always calming.

Won Buddhism Background: I first visited the Won Manhattan Temple in 2012. Initially I was looking for somewhere to meditate, because I wanted a way to settle my mind. I found the temple’s website. The dharma talks on the site resonated with me, so I decided to visit the temple.

Profession: I work for New York Life in the asset management business.

Hobbies or Interests: I enjoy playing golf, exercising, and watching pro wrestling.
